Journey into old-world Germany with Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm in this dark new theatrical reimagining of the famous brothers behind the world’s most haunting fairy tales. As political unrest spreads beneath a tyrannical regime, the brothers take refuge in a speakeasy above Water St Cafe, uncovering disturbing secrets, and transforming tragic real-life experiences into the twisted stories that would define generations.

The reserved and dependable Jacob struggles to protect both his family and ideals, while the charming and reckless Wilhelm becomes entangled in dangerous romances that leave heartbreak in their wake. At the center of their lives are the women who inspire their tales: Dorothea, whose mysterious and violent past gives birth to the legend of Little Red Riding Hood, and Henrietta, whose passion for folklore and turbulent love affairs helps shape the dark romance of Cinderella. Also featured is Mrs. McGuinness, the cruel and eccentric barkeeper.

Sip on expertly crafted cocktails or fine wines (available for purchase) while the 2-hour performance unfolds seamlessly around you. There is no audience participation required, only the pure magic of being swept into another time and place. Khamisa Wilsher is a Vancouver-based musician specializing in soulful blends of blues and jazz, while also exploring a diverse range of genres. Her performances, which range from uplifting pop anthems to poignant jazz ballads, resonate with authenticity and deep emotion, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. Khamisa has showcased her talent on a variety of platforms, from intimate local venues to larger stages and major events, captivating listeners. She thrives off of audience connection and storytelling through music with a wide musical repertoire. Alongside her is the incredibly talented Ben Wayne Kyle, a professional guitarist, singer, and composer.
